Almost perfect game for Taiser and Ahmad

 

7th August - Taiser Al Quisie fell one pin short of a perfect game at Qatar Bowling Center on Tuesday night.

 

Class A qualifier in the Ramadan tournament Tayseer finished with a score of 299. He had bowled 11 consecutive strikes, before leaving one pin standing with his final shot. The tenpin bowling enthusiast said he had mixed feelings about his game.

 

"I stoke up but a bit disappointed at the same time." “It was a nerve-rocking moment.” “There was a bit of panic and a lot of adrenalin." he added.

 

When he bowled the last one, he thought that he had it. It was a good bowl, it just didn't work out.

 

Another attempt for a perfect game by Ahmad Al Baker playing in Class B. He had attracted a large crowd as he rolled 10 consecutive strikes in a row. A perfect game has 12 strikes and the crowd was willing him to bowl the strikes all the way. On his 11th ball Ahmad managed to leave one pin which remained defiantly on its own and had strike on the 12 ball, which gives him a total of 289.

Bernabe Alfaro retakes the first spot

 

7th August - Bernabe Alfaro set another high series that placing him on top. Alfaro pin a fantastic action for several days retakes the leading against Mansoor Al Awamy who's placing now in 2nd place for class A. Alfaro blasted the pins for games of 256, 269, and 225 to garner an excellent 750 series added to his previous high series game 811 that compiles a total 6-game series of 1561.

Bernabe Alfaro wins the 2nd week high series for Category A at the Ramadan Tournament action with an excellent scores of 268-297-246, giving him a nice start towards the weekly high series. Plus his 2nd series 268-185-258 from his previous games that pins him in the 1st spot with a total series of 1522.


Further, another nice scorer in Category B is the Qatari bowler – Abdulla Al Jeel who scores 208-279-289 plus 6 handicap that gives him a series of 782. Al-Jeel declares as the 2nd week high series winner for Category B. He landed in the 2nd spot of the table for Class B after a 2nd series of 683 from his previous games (257-211-209) plus 6 handicap that leads to a total series of 1465.

 

Both winner received 500 QR cash prize. The prize distribution was led by Mr. Ahmed Al-Mulla - Secretary General of Qatar Bowling Federation at the same time the Bowling Department Head of Qatar Bowling Center. 

A great start for Ramadan Bowling Tournament 2012


The most awaited Ramadan Bowling Tournament was kicked off last Thursday – 20th July in Qatar Bowling Center as part of the event prepared by the Qatar Bowling Federation in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan. There are several bowlers who have registered in the first day qualifying round. The turnout of participants in the first day was great compare to last year. There are lots of new participants this year especially lady bowlers who have shown their strength and eagerness to be on top. Read more

Ahmad Deyab fires first perfect game in the Ramadan tournament 2012

 

On Sunday – 29th July, Ahmad Deyab from category A scored the 1st perfect game during the 10th day qualifying round in the Ramadan tournament. There were a lot of chances from the qualifiers to beat the perfect game but unfortunately they failed most at the 10th frame.  Read more

Dominant performances on qualifying round


The Filipino bowler Bernabe Alfaro leading the Ramadan tournament 2012 after taking over the lead in the 10th day qualifying round for category A last Sunday - July 29. Alfaro notched up 811 after a series of 711 for a total of 1522 that makes him the top qualifier to surpass Khalid Al-Doseri after leading for more than a week in the top with two series of 717 and 802 a total of 1519. 

 

Alfaro had almost bagged the perfect game during his 2nd game but unluckily was not able to craft it in the 10th frame after he mislays the 3 pins that end up him with 297. The junior national bowler Ahmad Deyab still holding the highest game for obtaining the 300 perfect game last Sunday 29th of July.

On the other hand, junior national bowler Jassim Al Deyab shot into top spot of category B qualifying table in the Ramadan Bowling Tournament 2012 while Abdulla Al Jeel took the second spot after he scores 208-279-289 with a series of 782 and his previous series 683 with a total of 1465. Al Jeel’s 782 series is the highest series so far and only if no breaks this scores, he will win the 2nd week high series. His 289 score is also the highest game so far, a tie score with Sherwin Sanchez with 289.
