A great start for Ramadan Bowling Tournament 2012

 

The most awaited Ramadan Bowling Tournament was kicked off last Thursday – 20th July in Qatar Bowling Center as part of the event prepared by the Qatar Bowling Federation in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan. There are several bowlers who have registered in the first day qualifying round. The turnout of participants in the first day was great compare to last year. There are lots of new participants this year especially lady bowlers who have shown their strength and eagerness to be on top.


There are more than 100 qualifiers from local bowling enthusiasts will buy across the classification system as they set their goal on reaching to the finals on August 13 for class B and August 14 for class A.

The qualifying stage of the tournament will continue until 1:00 AM on August 13 for category B and 1:00 AM on August 14 for category A, where the top 16 qualifiers for both categories will be selected and those bowlers will progress to the finals the next night. 


A total cash prize of 106,000 Qatari Riyals is at stake. First placer will take home 20,000 QR cash prize for category A, while 15,000 QR for category B. And with 10,000 QR will be awarded for the second place in category A and 7,500 QR for category B. Some of the bowling enthusiasts whether veterans or rookies, gents, ladies or youth have the reason to set on their striking power this Holy Month. 


The qualifying round is ongoing – every night from 6:00pm till 1:00am (last qualification). You can still take part of the tournament. All you have to do is simply go to Qatar Bowling Centre and register for your chance to join in this wonderful experience and have a chance to win big cash prizes.

 

The Ramadan Bowling Tournament is just one of the many successful tournaments that Qatar Bowling Federation set on for many years.
